Oak is considered one of the most durable woods, and this quality is enhanced by heat treatment. This material is used to make decking boards for outdoor spaces, verandas, and gazebos. Heat-treated oak boards create a durable flooring that can withstand heavy loads and heavy use. In addition to flooring, Temo oak is also used to make facade boards for building cladding. This cladding is environmentally friendly, requires little maintenance, and withstands adverse weather conditions.

thermally Angara pine
Angara pine contains less resin than regular pine, and heat treatment further "burns out" the resinous inclusions. After heat treatment, Angara pine is less susceptible to warping and cracking. This makes it more stable and durable when exposed to heat and sun (relevant for the UAE). It is well suited for terraces, facades, and decking, but for premium applications (such as high-traffic public areas), ash or larch are superior in terms of strength.
thermally birch tree
Birch boards heat-treated on specialized equipment using our proprietary technology. This includes intensive drying and baking in a humid environment under pressure at 170-180°C, followed by hardening. As a result, the thermally modified boards acquire enhanced performance properties and a distinctive appearance. They are made from the appropriate wood species, grades 0-1.
Thermo-ash is produced using modern technology that preserves all the advantages of the wood while eliminating its disadvantages. The luxury and aesthetic appeal of a natural material, while eliminating the risk of decay, are achieved through heat treatment that modifies the wood structure. thermally alder tree
Thermally modified alder is a premium material often used in saunas, spas, and hammams. Treated alder is resistant to damp conditions, does not absorb excess moisture, and does not rot. It also resists the growth of mold and other harmful pests after treatment. Thanks to these properties, thermally modified alder is completely environmentally friendly and requires no chemical protection. Furthermore, thermally modified alder paneling has a distinct texture and a deep, rich color.
Thermally elm tree
Thermally modified elm is characterized by its high density, stability, moisture resistance, and beautiful texture. It is widely used for interior finishing in areas with high humidity. Furthermore, thermally modified elm tolerates all types of mechanical processing well. The advantages of this semi-precious wood include moisture resistance, aesthetics, and density. After processing, the wood becomes even better and more attractive.
Thermowood is obtained as a result of special thermal treatment of various types of wood (pine, ash, oak, and others). The material obtained in the process of heating wood to high temperatures, serves much longer.
THE SCOPE OF APPLICATION OF THE THERMO BOARD
Thermowood is commonly used in parks, boardwalks, façades of public buildings, and other urban infrastructure. Its ability to withstand exposure to the elements and environmental fluctuations ensures reliable long-term performance in urban spaces.

TECHNOLOGY & PROCESS
Thermal modification is a particular thermal treatment technology, whose main purpose is manufacturing wood maximally resistant to the impacts of negative environmental factors, as well as to ensure the stability of its shape ,size and increase its durability by multifold. After such thermal treatment, the properties of European wood species approach those of tropical record-breaking species such as iroko and teak.
Thermal modification results from controlled pyrolysis by heating the wood within 180 - 230°C oxygen-free environment. This procedure alters the chemical structures of the wood's cell wall components (lignin, cellulose and hemicellulose), which enhances its durability. The low oxygen content prevents the wood from burning at high temperatures. There are several different methods of using different media including nitrogen, steam and hot oil.

THERMALLY MODIFIED WOOD (thermally-modified wood, thermo-wood, thermal wood, thermally-processed wood, thermo-board, TMW) is a natural, environmentally friendly new generation construction material with unique quality properties.

Workpieces pre-drying
Raw planks from a newly milled trunk cannot be simply placed into the chamber. They must be carefully dried beforehand. Sometimes a chamber-dried board is used as raw material, or a separate pre-drying mode is set directly in the main chamber. Drying is carried out with a gradual increase in temperature to about 100°C, and then, more slowly, up to 140°C.
Thermal treatment (thermal modification)
Heating of a dry board continues to approximately 185-220°C with subsequent several-hour exposure time. At this temperature, the wood does not only dry, but changes its structure at cellular level. Intermolecular bonds literally rupture, while new ones form, and all microorganisms and pests die. The procedure is accompanied by increased pressure and water vapor supply, which prevents wood ignition.
Cooling
It is performed by spraying water, which not only gradually reduces the temperature of the workpiece, but also partially increases the final moisture content to approximately 3-5%.
The main differences between heat treatment technologies lie “within” the individual stages. These are mainly differences in temperature, holding time, total processing time, amount of steam supplied or pressure applied. All of this affects not only the speed of the process, but also the properties of our material.

PEOPLE
WHY
The service life of thermo wood is many times longer than that of untreated wood.
After our heat treatment, thermowood acquires a unique wood pattern.
During the heat treatment process, the material evaporates: wood sugar, which attracts microorganisms. This prevents the thermo board from rotting.
Thermowood does not absorb moisture, so it does not swell or lose its shape even in high humidity conditions.
OUR
COMPANY
The company’s head office is located in Moscow, from where we manage production, logistics, and projects in various countries, including the UAE and other Gulf states. All of our products are environmentally friendly, as confirmed by international certificates. In addition, every item we manufacture meets international quality standards, GOST regulations, and technical specifications (TU), ensuring durability, safety, and excellent performance characteristics.

About the Company
Our team has been specializing in thermal wood treatment for over 10 years, creating products capable of withstanding the most demanding climate conditions. We work exclusively with high-quality Russian timber, sourced from trusted suppliers and processed at our own production facilities in Russia. This approach allows us to fully control the process — from raw material selection to the finished product.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Thermowood is natural timber that has undergone a special thermal modification process at temperatures up to 215 °C without chemicals. This makes it stronger, more stable, and resistant to moisture, insects, and extreme temperature changes — perfect for the UAE climate.
Yes. Thermowood performs exceptionally well under harsh conditions, including intense sun, poolside areas, and coastal locations. It does not warp, crack, or rot, unlike untreated wood.
Thermowood absorbs less heat than composite (WPC) or stone surfaces. Even in the summer heat, it remains comfortable for barefoot walking, especially when choosing lighter shades.
Thermowood does not require mandatory treatment. However, to preserve its rich color, we recommend applying oil once every 1–2 years. If left untreated, it will naturally develop a beautiful silver-grey patina while maintaining its durability.
When installed properly, Thermowood can last over 25 years. It is highly resistant to cracking, mold, and insect damage, making it an excellent choice for outdoor applications in desert climates.
We offer hidden fastening systems for a seamless look and added protection for the boards. Traditional visible fixing options are also available upon request.
Yes. Our Thermowood is FSC-certified for responsible forestry and CE-certified for European quality standards. It is 100% chemical-free — only natural wood and heat.
